-----
Ingredients
- 300ml full fat sour cream
- 6 tsp. onion flakes
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 tsp. gelatin powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. MSG (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
These measurements serve 3-4 people.
-----
Method
- Using a mortar and pestle, crush together 1 beef stock cube, 6 tsp. onion flakes, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, 1/2 tsp. MSG, 1/2 tsp. sweet paprika and 1/2 tsp. black pepper. If you don't have a mortar and pestle, you can use a fork. Just be sure to crush that beef stock cube!
- To a bowl, add 300ml full fat sour cream, 1 tsp. gelatin powder and 2 tbsp. of the seasoning mix you've just created. Stir this until all the seasoning has been combined into the sour cream.
- Taste your dip! If you'd like a stronger French onion flavour, add another 1/2 - 1 tsp. of your seasoning mix and stir in.
- Chill in the fridge for at least one hour and then enjoy with a selection of vegetables, or ruffled chips!
You can make this dip up to 2 days in advance. If you have any questions, feel free to ask below! I hope you enjoy this dip!
