As a college student who grew up as a picky eater, pasta and chicken are two of my safe foods and are delicious together. The exploration of spices has helped me find new foods I enjoy. Here's an easy dish that I love and is good for picky eaters/anyone looking for something savory.
Ingredients 1. Pasta, any style 2. Chicken breast (I use frozen chicken breast tenders from Costco) 3. Seasoning (Salt, pepper, Onion powder, Italian Herb mix) 5. Butter 6. Parmesan cheese
Directions 1. Season chicken breast(s) with salt and pepper and cook in the oven until internal temperature is 160 fahrenheit. NOTE: Cook time and temperature required are going to vary depending on breast size and state (fresh/frozen) so I left that out. (For Costco tenders, oven at 425 Fahrenheit for 45 minutes or until at temp.) 2. Cook pasta in pot of boiling water according to box instructions. 3. Strain cooked pasta and add about a tablespoon of butter (just enough to get the noodles slippery) 4. Season with salt, pepper, and a dash of onion powder. (careful with the onion powder. It's strong). Add a good amount of Italian Herb mix that you can get from most grocery stores. Mine contains rosemary, basil, thyme, oregano, and sage. 5. Plate with cooked chicken and sprinkle with parmesan cheese to taste.
Feel free to ask any questions. Enjoy!
