Ingredients:
- Pasta tagliatelle, 4 nests
For meatballs:
- Minced meat, 400g./16oz.
- Onion, 1 medium or 2 small
- Salt, 3g/0.11oz
- Black pepper, 0.5 tsp
For tomato sauce:
- Pureed tomatoes, 0.5l./16.9fl oz.
- Garlic, 2 cloves
- Salt, 1 tsp for sauce and 3g for meatballs.
- Black pepper, 0.5 tsp
- Smoked paprika 1 tsp
- Dried garlic, 1 tsp
- Herbs de provence or:
-- Temyan, 1 tsp
-- Rosemary, 1 tsp
-- Oregano 1 tsp
-- Basil, 1tsp
- Tuscan herbs, 2 tsp(optional)
- Lemon juice(optional)
- Sugar(optional)
Cooking steps:
- Prepare the sauce. Grate, chop or pass the garlic through a garlic press. Mix tomatoes with all seasonings. I indicated the set and the amount of seasonings that I used when cooking. But you can change them to your liking.
- Preheat oven to 190 °C /370 °F
- Prepare minced meat for meatballs. Cut the onion into small cubes. You can fry if you want. I'm frying. Mix meat, onion, salt and black pepper.
- Put the pasta on the bottom of the baking dish. Make meatballs. Lay the meatballs on the pasta. Pour in tomato sauce. The paste should be at least half covered, preferably 2/3. If not, then add water.
- Send to the oven for 25 minutes. Times are approximate, all ovens are different. So keep an eye on the progress of cooking.
