Easy Whipped Feta Dip

This whipped feta dip is one of my favorite party dips when having friends over. It is full of fresh Mediterranean flavors and so customizable you can really make it your own.

Ingredients

250 grams Feta Cheese

250 grams Greek Yogurt get a natural version you want the full fat as low fat versions tend to add extra sugar which makes the final whipped feta dip unbalanced.

2 Shallots finely diced

1 Lemon juiced

2 tbsp Green Onion chopped

2 tbsp Parsley chopped

1 tsp Dry Oregano

1 tsp Garlic Powder

Salt to taste. I only use about a quarter teaspoon. To be clear I don't really think this dish needs salt as the cheese itself is quite salty, so try the dip before adding salt since you don't want to oversalt.

1 tsp Capers for garnish

1/2 tsp Sumac optional for garnish

Instructions

Add all the ingredients except the sumac and capers to the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment.

Let run on medium until you have a light and fluffy whipped feta mix. Use a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides if needed.

Plate into a serving bowl and garnish with capers and sumac as desired. Serve alongside some cucumber slices, fresh bread, and croutons.
