Description
You will love this healthy wholesome Cheesy Hamburger Pasta. It works because Dill, Vinegar, Olive Oil, Red Pepper Chili Flake makes a fantastic Vinaigrette, and those flavors nicely blend with the natural oils from the Cheese and the Hamburger, and the Beef Broth to make a delicious sauce. However instead of Vinegar, the natural sharpness of Sauerkraut is used to complete the Vinaigrette flavor creating a Hamburger pasta unlike anything you’ve tried before with bursts of flavor. Creamy, Salty, Savory, Smokey (I pre-make proteins in batches and freeze them using smoked hamburger for this), Peppery, Sweet, delicious and healthy. A perfect combination of Protein, Veggie, and Starch.
Ingredients
- 1/4lb Hamburger
- 3/4 Cup Sauerkraut
- 2 Cups Noodles (Penne)
- 2 Cups Beef Broth
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Chili Flake
- 1 tsp Dried Dill
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt (if broth is unsalted)
Instructions
-
Bring Beef Broth to a vigorous boil (I used a rice cooker!)
-
Add noodles. (I rinsed them first). (I added sea salt because the broth was not already salted). The broth should just cover the top of the noodles.
-
Cover and wait 10 minutes. During that time the broth should return to a vigorous boil.
-
Drain 90% leaving some broth that will become sauce.
-
Add Sauerkraut, Dill, Parsley, Red Pepper Chili Flake, Olive Oil, Black Pepper, and pre-cooked Hamburger crumbles (I used smoked hamburger, but any lightly seasoned hamburger should do) and stir until broth just starts to become sauce.
-
Add Cheese. Lower heat to Keep Warm and continue stirring until Cheese just starts to melt into sauce.
Enjoy!
