Ingredients:📋
1 lb ground beef or lamb 1 onion, chopped 2 carrots, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup frozen peas 1 cup beef or lamb broth 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon dried thyme Salt and pepper to taste 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and quartered 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:🥣
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add onions, carrots, and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in peas, broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then transfer to a baking dish. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, milk, and Parmesan cheese until smooth. Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture in the dish. Use a fork to create peaks that will brown nicely. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
