Onions are one of my favorite burger toppings so this recipe is a match made in heaven for me. It was absolutely delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- ½ cup dijonnaise sauce
- 4 brioche burger buns
Instructions
- Slice the onions. Add olive oil to a pan. Cook the onions on medium heat until caramelized, about 20-30 minutes.
- Add ground beef to a medium bowl. Mix with the packet of onion soup mix and worcestershire sauce. Form 1 inch thick patties using your hands. Press a small dimple in the middle of the burger.
- On medium-high heat, cook the burger. After 3-5 minutes, flip the burger. Top with cheese and cover. After 3-5 minutes remove burger from heat once desired internal temperature is met.
- Toast buns on medium heat with a little olive oil.
- Add dijonnaise sauce to bottom bun. Place burger patty on top of the bottom bun. Top with onions. Place top bun over onions. Serve immediately.
